Best known for her role as Lily Munster, De Carlo a popular figure with collectors

Arlington - While "The Munsters" proved to be one of America's favorite TV shows in the 1960s, one "Munster" is proving to be an extremely popular figure in the recently-released Donruss Americana trading card series.

Yvonne De Carlo - who portrayed Lily Munster - is part of the Hollywood Legends section of the Donruss Americana set, and the company purchased a handful of cancelled checks containing the signature of the late actress and produced 10 "autographed" cards with her signature. Three of those autographed "Director's Cut" cards have emerged in online auctions and have sold for more than $255 each. One garnered 13 bids and sold for $314.

"Yvonne De Carlo is a classic fit to Donruss Americana," says Scott Prusha, Donruss PR and marketing manager. "Not only was she an accomplished film actress, but she played a prominent role in one of our nation's most revered comedy shows. Fans loved her and loved Lily Munster."

Donruss also secured a coat personally worn by Yvonne and created several materials cards - with each card carrying a swatch of that jacket. "And those have done very well on the secondary market as well," Prusha says.

Donruss Americana is a one-of-a-kind trading card set featuring the top names in Hollywood, entertainment, politics and sports. The release features many autographs and memorabilia cards of the personalities depicted.
