Val Kilmer in Knight Rider (and Americana)
February 07, 2008

By Josh Morris

Val Kilmer knows how to get around. First, we see him pilot an F-14 Tomcat in Top Gun. Then we see him drive the Batmobile in Batman Forever. Now, Kilmer will actually become one of the coolest vehicles of all time: K.I.T.T., the Ford Mustang in the all-new Knight Rider movie premiering later this month. Of course, we still think the coolest way for Kilmer to get around is on his trading card in Donruss Americana!

Kilmer joined the cast of the 2008 Knight Rider movie as a last minute replacement as the voice of K.I.T.T., an artificially intelligent Ford Mustang based off the talking car from the 1982 TV series. The movie is intended to be a pilot for a new ongoing Knight Rider TV series, a hit that would have Kilmer behind the wheel. The movie is scheduled to premiere on February 17th.

Fans of Kilmer can find his autograph on Private Signings cards in Americana, as well as pieces of fabric from clothing worn by Kilmer on Stars Materials cards. Really lucky fans can even get Kilmer's Stars Signature Materials card, which has both an autograph and a piece of his clothing. Kilmer also appears in the recently announced 2008 Donruss Americana Celebrity Cuts, where his signature can be found on the same card as fellow caped crusaders Adam West and Burt Ward's autograph.

But Kilmer is no stranger to being on a trading card. In fact, he made his hobby debut back in 2004 in the product Donruss World Series. In what has become one of the most popular inserts of all-time, Fans of the Game, the cards paired celebrities with their favorite sports teams. Kilmer's signed autographs on a card that featured the logo of his favorite team, the LA Dodgers.

Donruss Americana is available now and guarantees one autograph or memorabilia card in each hobby pack.
