Screen Legends Get Their First Trading Cards
December 26, 2007

The obvious timeless brilliance of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Marlon Brando and Jimmy Stewart (all four of whom are featured prominently in Americana) is offset by a host of more contemporary greats such as John Travolta, Burt Reynolds and Carrie Fisher. The Americana checklist is a veritable Who's Who of Hollywood's elite, most of whom are making their first trading card appearances ever.

"Every name that's mentioned is an icon in Americna history," says Donruss marketing director Scott Prusha. "Monroe, James Dean, Marlon Brando. They're icons. The opportunity to create their first trading cards is incredibly unique and we're incredibly excited."

"These are arguably the most collected figures in the world. To be able to provide this huge collector base with these types of items is remarkable. To not have trading cards and memorabilia cards and cut autograph cards for all this time and now having them is truly amazing."
