Thanksgiving Classic Update
November 21, 2007

For the second year in a row, Donruss will be handing out trading cards over the Thanksgiving holiday in Detroit, Dallas and Atlanta – this year's NFL Network game. The Cowboys take on the Jets, while the Lions host the Green Bay Packers. The NFL Network will broadcast a Thanksgiving Day game for only the second time when the Falcons host the defending World Champion Colts.

Donruss will produce and distribute over 100,000 packs of trading cards throughout the weekend in all three cities.

"Thanksgiving is a day when families are together and watching football," said Donruss Vice President Mike Anderson. "We had a tremendous amount of success in promoting the category to families last year and we feel we have something great planned again this year."

Donruss also announced they have again retained Drotman Communications to help execute part of the media portion for their Thanksgiving Classic PR campaign. Drotman Communications has worked with Donruss Playoff in the past and currently coordinates the NFL Player of the Day promotion for the NFL and Players Inc.

As part of the lead up to Thanksgiving Thursday, Donruss will have former Dallas Cowboy and Hall of Famer Randy White making National media appearances Wednesday. Randy will make his appearance on ESPN, Fox Sports Net, the Sporting News Radio and several other major media outlets. The former Cowboy will be on national TV discussing trading cards, Thanksgiving tradition, football and family.

Each trading card pack will feature an NFL Network schedule card along with one of the network's personalities on the card front, either: "Primetime" Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Steve Mariucci or host Rich Eisen.

The Dallas Cowboys will also feature a unique card. The Cowboys have always used the halftime show to officially kickoff the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign. The Red Kettle campaign is the Salvations Army's most prominent fundraiser. Nearly 34 million Americans receive assistance from the Salvation Army. The trading card gives some background on the Jones family’s involvement and where football fans can go to make a donation.

Donruss will also be holding a Thanksgiving Sweepstakes with Dick's Sporting Goods in Leaf Rookies & Stars. One lucky collector will have the chance to attend a game on Thanksgiving weekend in 2008. The program will have an exclusive, 8-card set feature players playing on Thanksgiving Day. For more information, visit www.donruss.com.
