Tony Dungy signed with Pittsburgh as a free agent in 1977, helping the Steelers to a Super Bowl XIII win over the Cowboys. It wasn't until '03 that Dungy saw his face on a Rookie Card, landing in the 2003 Playoff Contenders checklist. After leading the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears, his ONLY RC has climbed onto the hobby hotlist.
Tony caught on as a coach and landed in Tampa Bay where he lead the Bucs to the playoffs four times in six seasons. Tony arrived in Indy and after 11 seasons, finally fulfilled his dream of coaching a team to the Super Bowl. His success in coaching the Colts can be seen in the stats. He's just one of 35 coaches with 100 career victories and one of just six to win 100-plus regular season games in his first 10 years as a head coach. His .638 winning percentage heading into the season ranked second among active coaches. He led the Colts to the playoffs in each of his four seasons, leading them to a Super Bowl victory in just his fifth season with the team.
Donruss Playoff was the first and ONLY company to produce Tony's rookie card. Donruss Playoff continues to put the best rookies in their products.
