Super Bowl Hobby Match-Up

The game is finally set and fans will be witnessing a great match-up of offense versus defense. When the Indianapolis Colts take on the Chicago Bears, all the media attention will be focused on players like Brian Urlacher, Rex Grossman, Peyton Manning and Adam Vinatieri. We have two weeks to discuss match-ups and every possible angle of how this game will play out, but it's about Rookie Cards and no year as been more exciting than 2006.

Only time will tell if this rookie class will win the argument as the best ever, but this year's Super Bowl will feature two of the most exciting rookies from this much heralded RC crop in Devin Hester and Joseph Addai.

Devin Hester finished the season with an NFL record for the most return touchdowns in a single season. He has a total of six, three punt returns, two kickoff returns and a record setting 108-yard missed field goal return. He finished the season as the ONLY rookie to make the All-Pro Team. After the Super Bowl lights dim, the former Hurricane will pack his bags and head to Hawaii for his first Pro-Bowl appearance.

Joseph Addai started the season behind names like Reggie Bush and Laurence Maroney, while splitting time with veteran running back Dominic Rhodes. When the season finally came to an end, it was Addai that finished as the only rookie to rush for over 1,000 yards. He finished the season with 1,081 yards rushing, 325 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns. Addai's 171 yard and four touchdown performance against the Eagles helped him earn the AFC Player of the Week Award in week 12.

Both Players could be found all year in Donruss Playoff products and Donruss Playoff continues to put the best rookies in their products.
