It’s always a little like Christmas morning around Panini America HQ when the first batch of Rookie Cards for a particular product arrive fresh from the printing facility. But that sensation was more intense than usual when the sweet, sizable-swatched memorabilia cards from the upcoming 2011-12 Prime Hockey arrived.
Panini America’s Acquisitions team was in something of a rush to get these gems — easily some of the most attractive hockey cards of the entire collecting season — counted and QC’d so they could expedite them to their respective next stops to receive on-card autographs, so I didn’t have a whole lot of time to snap pre-autograph pics.
